GOODBYE MUNDANE, HELLO INSANE(LY AWESOME)

Graphic created by LDOT Designs that says : Are you really happy or just really comfortable

Remember as a child when you’d have all these opinions about when you grew up?

“When I grow up I’m going to be a singer!”
“When I grow up I am going to have lots of babies!”
“When I grow up I’m going to travel the world!”

We all had them. The dreams and ambitions. The ideas of how things will be and the reason almost everyone as a kid is DYING to grow up.

Then BAM you’re that grownup and life isn’t quite as little you imagined. In some ways it’s better than your innocent mind could have ever conjured up. In others, well…you’re probably not the singer/ *POP STAR* little you was sure you’d become.

These ideas of how our life will be don’t stop when we’re young. Chances are right now you have ideas about what you want for your future. What differs now is these ideas are probably less outrageous and more aligned with who you’ve become. They probably look more like “before I turn 30 I want to be married” or “before I turn 50 I want to have no debt” and blah blah blah.

Don’t these sound exciting?!?!?! Just kidding, not so much.

As adults, we often get stuck in a place of practicality. We forget to dream big. These goals are exciting in their own way. They are life’s milestones and if these are your goals, they ARE important. My point is, we forget how to look beyond our comfort zone. We get stuck in the expectations of adulthood and forget about our inner child. Our little us.

If right now you’re thinking “that’s me…. [insert guilty emoji],” don’t worry you’re not alone. I am also extremely guilty of getting cozy in the moment. Instead of pushing myself outside my comfort zone to achieve my goals, I stick in my comfy, little bubble because well, it’s easy.

And that’s why I am doing this.

I want to break this habit.
I want to have fun.
I want to live for those beautiful, little, magical moments that happen when you’re living authentically you.
and I want to inspire you to do the same.

love L. Signature
